VISITING FOR THE FIRST TIME?

What does our Sunday morning worship service look like?

Our public worship services are God-centered.  Our primary attraction in the public assembly is the Lord.  We approach Him to give Him glory, to confess our sins, and to learn of His ways.  But we also assemble for another purpose - to strengthen each other.  In all of our public assemblies, guests are always welcome.

1. LORD'S SUPPER

Every Sunday, the first day of the week, we observe the Lord's Supper (Matthew 26:26-29).  This is a memorial meal, not a common meal.  As we eat the bread and drink the cup, we remember the body and blood of Jesus, the Son of God, who offered His life as a sacrifice for our sins. (Luke 22:19)

2. SINGING

Our weekly services also include singing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs (Ephesians 5:19).  All members praise God and sing to one another in congregational song worship. Through song we magnify our God as we praise Him and edify each other to love and good works (Hebrews 10:24).

3. PRAYER

The earliest disciples devoted themselves to prayer (Acts 2:42). An important part of our assemblies is the time devoted to lifting our hearts together to God and confidently drawing near to His throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16).

4. PREACHING

Each Sunday our evangelist, Charles Payne, delivers Bible preaching, connecting the truth of God’s word with practical daily living (2 Timothy 4:1-2) to instruct, correct, and encourage the church. We encourage our guests to open their Bible and follow along.

If you hear something you don’t understand, or have questions, ask us! We only want to teach the truth, and we implore you to seek and find the truth.

5. COLLECTION

We take up a collection on Sundays, the first day of the week (I Corinthians 16:2).  The collection is not a solicitation of funds from guests.  It is voluntary and considered a privilege for each member.  The funds are not hoarded but are used to fulfill the purpose of the local church - teaching the lost, building up the membership, and addressing benevolent needs.  A majority of our treasury is spent on local and international evangelism.

What does our Wednesday evening service look like?

On Wednesday evenings we meet at 7:00 pm for an adult Bible study as well as children's classes and then assemble in the auditorium for a brief song service and invitation.

We’d love to share our love of Christ with you. When you visit, you will find Bible-based preaching, Bible-based classes, and Bible-based worship. Come worship with us, we love to meet new people!
